Certified Memorialists & Their Value to Consumers

Everybody knows that when the letters MD follows an individual’s name, it means that person is a medical doctor.  CPA signifies that an individual has met the standards and fulfilled requirements to be a Certified Public Accountant. These are common indications of certified professionals. If you ask the professional why they put in the work to gain a certification, they’ll tell you that the certification process is one of the single most important steps you can take to advance your career. Like many associations, MBNA utilizes a professional certification to recognize individuals’ dedication to their chosen career and their ability to demonstrate knowledge of industry standards by bestowing upon those individuals the Certified Memorialist® (CM) designation.

Certification demonstrates commitment to the profession.  Receiving certification shows the commitment to their chosen career and their ability to perform to memorialization standards.  Since university degrees can no longer represent the full measure of professional knowledge and competence in today’s evolving job market, a professional certification can set the Monument Builder apart.

A Certified Memorialist® has undergone extensive training and testing to be sure they can assist you in creating a headstone or grave marker. Not only that, but in order to maintain their certification, they must participate in continuing education opportunities and be retested every three years. So, they are constantly working to ensure they stay up to date on industry trends, changes, and design techniques.
